Trainer & Owner Notifications
NEW IN MARKET FORM® · OWNER RANKINGS · TRAINER RANKINGS · PERSONAL ALERTS
Find the pattern.
Save the rule.
Discover whose market support deserves a closer look. Understand the history behind it. Then tell Market Form® what you want to be notified about across future runners.
Our new owner and upgraded trainer rankings connect the evidence with your next step: a shortlist to investigate, a partnership to watch, or a personal notification rule that stays active until you change it.
Whose support has actually delivered?
A shorter price tells you that a horse has been backed. The rankings help you judge what that support has meant for the owner or trainer behind the runner.
Choose a market window, movement threshold and minimum sample. Compare wins, strike rate, expected winners, A/E, average SP, SP profit and ROI. Under each row, a plain-English explanation tells you what that record suggests you should pay attention to.
Find connections to watch
Identify owners whose supported runners have won more often than their starting prices suggested. Look deeper at the trainer partnerships behind those results.
Narrow your shortlist
Explore support and drift records, then examine owner, jockey and course evidence. Use the extra race-condition filters to make the comparison relevant.
Look beyond strike rate
A/E compares actual winners with SP-implied winners. A high win rate is more useful when you can also see the prices, sample size and returns behind it.
A/E of 1.20 means 20% more winners than the starting prices implied. It does not mean a 20% profit. The profit and ROI columns answer a different question.
A real example: Wathnan Racing
OPEN → OFFICIAL SP · SUPPORT OF 10pp+
In the displayed historical sample, Wathnan Racing had 17 winners from 34 qualifying runners. Their starting prices implied around 14.09 winners, producing an A/E of 1.21.
The partnership breakdown then showed 9 winners from 14 qualifying runners with Hamad Al Jehani, with an A/E of 1.61.
That gives you a specific owner–trainer combination to examine when support appears, alongside the individual horse’s evidence.
Example shown on 5 November 2026, using history from 1 January to 4 November 2026 and the stated filters. These are historical samples, not a prediction for the next runner.
Should you take the early price or wait?
The Earlier or later? section compares recorded 10AM prices with official SP for the same early-qualified runners. It shows how often prices shortened further, how often a bigger SP became available, and the difference in historical returns at those two checkpoints.
You can see whether earlier price-taking or waiting worked better in that sample. Where there is too little evidence, the page says so. Partnership comments add another layer: the owner, trainer, jockey or course combinations that deserve a closer look under your chosen filters.
This compares two recorded checkpoints. It does not identify the best price of the day, and stored 10AM quotes are not guaranteed executable odds.
Turn an interesting pattern into your own alert

EXAMPLE STANDING RULE
“Notify me when a James Owen runner receives at least 15pp of support from its opening price before the off.”
Or narrow an owner rule to a particular trainer. Trainer rules can also include a chosen owner or jockey. Add a horse, course, time window or current-price range when you want a more specific match.
This is a standing instruction for future runners. There does not need to be a matching horse today. The rule stays active until you edit or cancel it. After one qualifying runner triggers an alert, it keeps watching for the next.
You can close the rankings page and carry on with your day. Your saved rules continue to be checked by the notification system.
Your next steps
- Choose an owner or trainer.
Open Owner rankings or Trainer rankings under More → MF Research. Set your market window, movement and minimum sample.
- Read the evidence beneath the row.
Check the plain-English comment, timing comparison and any qualifying partnerships.
- Save the conditions you want to watch.
Use Notify me when this happens. All the conditions you choose must match.
- Enable notifications on your device.
Open your member dashboard → My alerts. Allow Market Form notifications on each device you use.
- Review and manage your rules.
My alerts shows your saved owner and trainer rules, with Edit conditions and Cancel rule controls. Trigger history shows matched runners. When an alert arrives, return to the race and review the current evidence.
A few useful details about the alerts
Rules use the existing five-minute checking schedule. A brief move between checks may not be captured. Each rule can notify once per matching horse/race; the standing rule continues for future runners. Overlapping rules may create separate alerts.
Live rules compare the current price with opening or 10AM. A historical pattern measured through SP or the final recorded price is only complete at that endpoint. Historical distance, class, second-move and closing-checkpoint filters are not automatically included in a live alert: choose the supported live conditions in the rule builder.
Current declared ownership and partnerships are matched to the runner’s market data. Movement is measured in implied-probability points, not a percentage reduction in the odds. These ranking and rule calculations do not add a further non-runner adjustment.
