In rear - lost touch 5th - tailed off when pulled up 2 out (trainer said gelding was unsuited by ground on this occasion - which was officially described as soft - and that he would prefer a quicker surface)
Held up in last - pushed along after 4 out - weakened and eased 2 out (trainer's rep could offer no explanation for the poor form shown other than report from vet that gelding had lost his right-fore shoe)(tchd 6/4)
DragonBet Supporting UK Racecourses Handicap Hurdle
Held up in rear - not fluent 3 out - some headway before 2 out - weakened after 2 out - soon pulled up (jockey said gelding made a bad mistake at 3rd last hurdle and lost his action and he therefore felt it prudent to pull up)(op 12/1)
Newton Abbot Racecourse Conference Centre Handicap Hurdle (Div II)
Held up in rear - reminder with one circuit to go - headway after 2 out (usual 3 out) - went second before last (usual 2 out) - pressed winner final 110yds - edged right towards finish - kept on(op 7/1)
Foxtrot Racing Syndicates Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race)
Held up in rear - some headway into midfield but not clear run after 2 out - shaken up after last - no chance but kept on final 110yds (inquiry was held into running and riding; jockey said that his instructions were to drop in with focus of giving gelding time and getting into a rhythm in order to build his confidence throughout race; he continued that gelding has a habit of racing keenly and that he was running through his hands for the majority of the first circuit before Cairo King jumped across him at fourth hurdle - which had the effect of lighting gelding up - a fact he had reported at scales; thereafter his jumping worsened and rider added that on approach to second last - having begun to ask gelding for some effort - gelding made a slight noise - a fact he again reported at scales - resulting in him focusing on keeping the bit up in gelding's mouth to enable him to finish the race; rider added that once he had extricated himself from the aforementioned pocket - he was able to ride gelding through to the line - giving him a couple of flicks after the last - with gelding finishing race at the one pace - neither gaining nor losing any ground on Shibuya Song which he had followed up the straight; trainer confirmed instructions and was satisfied that ride accorded with those instructions; their explanations were noted)(op 16/1 tchd 22/1)
Sky Sports Racing On Sky 415 Open National Hunt Flat Race (Category 1 Elimination) (GBB Race)

Won a bumper for Olly Murphy; pulled up in his latest maiden on soft ground but was running well on good at his point of departures previously; has since left Alison Thorpe and makes stable/handicap debut after a lengthy break; market could be revealing.

Sole win came here on the Flat over 1m2f; has shaped well enough in three hurdle runs to believe he could have a future off this sort of mark.

Dual Flat winner; no easy task in a maiden last time and has run well in a couple of handicaps; could have a part to play if reacting positively to the new tongue-tie.

Kicked off his handicap career with a promising second at Taunton (2m, good) in March and never really figured when held up over 2m4f a week later; back in trip after a month off, he could easily be very competitive.
