Can front-run; 1m wins here last April and in 17-runner race at the York Ebor meeting in August, with his two seconds at Ascot in between including the Royal Hunt Cup; last two outings leave him with a bit to prove, as they were 1m1f, but it's not too hard to excuse them and he is a strong contender.

Excelled in top handicaps at York and Newmarket in 2023, including with a C&D win in the Cambridgeshire (good to firm; 3lb lower today); however, he only once threatened to hit those heights in 2024 and, after wind surgery, missed all of 2025; that leaves him with a 658-day absence to overcome but his handicap mark has been slashed.

He wasn't at his very best last year but took a step back in the right direction when front-running fourth of 21 off this mark in the Lincoln at Doncaster five weeks ago on first run for new yard; no stamina worries but there is a concern about good to firm ground.

1m winner at Newmarket and York last summer but failed to shine on last two outings, when co-second favourite for the C&D Cambridgeshire on first occasion; only mid-division when 13-2 in the Spring Cup at Newbury two weeks ago but not beaten far and the draw looked a problem; not ruled out.

Went close at Glorious Goodwood (1m2f, good) last July but well beaten in C&D Cambridgeshire in September; failed to settle and suffered interference on return, doing pretty well in the circumstances, but disappointing favourite at Pontefract 11 days ago; connections turn to cheekpieces.

Easily first home in his near-side group when strong-finishing fourth of 23 in the Cambridgeshire over C&D (good to firm) in September; just 1lb higher today and that wasn't his only solid performance in a good handicap last term, so he could be a major each-way player.

Progressive over 7f-8.6f on AW this year, on last two starts winning the Lincoln Trial at Wolverhampton and close third at the AW Championships at Newcastle; turf mark has been raised in tandem, which leaves him with marked improvement to find in this sphere, but he needs a second look.

Often held up in rear, so he saw very little daylight when 50-1 off this career-low mark in the Spring Cup at Newbury two weeks ago; however, he last won in September 2023 and failed to make an impact in all but one of his races in 2025, so he is not the percentage call.

Down the field when 33-1 in C&D Cambridgeshire last September, before being gelded; however, he was reliable and progressive earlier last season and reappeared with a front-running 1m win here (favourite) 18 days ago; has 5lb penalty (same as his revised mark) but needs plenty of respect.

Windsor maiden winner for the Gosdens last April, followed by a 1m3f Listed third and big-money sale; only mid-division in his four handicaps since, 20-1 off this mark behind Mr Winston here (1m) on reappearance; back up by a furlong but others have more pressing claims.

Unraced on firmer than good; won debut on Southwell AW; close fourth on handicap debut there (1m) last October is markedly better than what he's done in three starts since, but he made late gains over 7f at Musselburgh on latest start to prompt some hope given today's step up in trip.

Ran away with a novice at Epsom in September on third start, making all; 11-8 favourite for handicap debut at Redcar (again 1m2f on good) in November but went in snatches and finished only fourth; retains clear potential but he's nothing like as battle-hardened as most of these runners.

Won at Musselburgh last April and June; failed to make a serious impact since, albeit fourth of 12 back at Musselburgh three weeks ago; non-runner at Redcar on Thursday.
