High-class form at best, winning four Grade 1s including 2023 Breeders' Cup Classic at Santa Anita and 2025 Pegasus World Cup (1m1f) at Gulfstream Park; not quite so good last four starts, though shaped as if in need of race (clear 1f out, tired) when second to stablemate Skippylongstocking in 2026 Pegasus World Cup in January; can race up with the pace; Oaklawn debut.

Oaklawn Handicap (Dirt)
Led narrowly - headed and prominent after 1f - switched right 3f out - led over 1f out - edged left inside final furlong - ridden out
Hill 'n' Dale Metropolitan Handicap (3yo+) (Main Track) (Dirt)
Disputed second between horses - chased leading pair on outer after 2f - lost place 2 1/2f out - fourth and hard ridden over 1 1/2f out - stayed on inside final furlong - never dangerous
Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes (4yo+) (Main Track) (Dirt)
Broke well - prominent outside rivals - headway to go 1 length second under 3f out - shaken up and led 1 1/2f out - ridden 3 lengths clear entering final furlong - extended advantage - impressive
Hill 'N' Dale Metropolitan Handicap (3yo+) (Main Track) (Dirt)
Chased two clear leaders - about 7 lengths third over 3f out - ridden to try and close approaching 2f out - soon no further impression - well held final 1 1/2f
Always close up on outer - tracked leader well before halfway - led under 2 1/2f out - ridden nearly 3 lengths clear inside final 1 1/2f - stayed on well and drew further ahead final furlong
Hill 'N' Dale Metropolitan Handicap (3yo+) (Main Track) (Dirt)
Close up on outer - soon sharing fourth behind front rank - lost place and pushed along 3f out - one from last but closing over 2f out - came wide into straight and stayed on final furlong - just missed second
Close up from wide draw - pushed along to lead after 1f and cut inside to rail - hard pressed and ridden over 2f out - headed under 1 1/2f out - plugged on at one pace
Curlin Florida Derby presented by Hill 'n' Dale Farms at Xalapa (3yo) (Main Track) (Dirt)
Prominent on outer - chased leading pair over 3f out - driven to challenge less than 1 1/2f out - led 1f out - edged right 110yds out - ran on - driven out
Very useful form at slightly shorter than this 1m1f (has won five times, notably one Grade 3) but nothing to suggest he can run with this class of rival; best form when chasing good pace; sold $120,000 since latest start.

Oaklawn Handicap (Dirt)
In touch with leaders - headway after 3f - weakened over 2f out
Took keen hold early - held up towards rear - short of room and snatched up after 2 1/2f to drop into final pair and carried rival right - shaken up and began to take closer order over 2f out - plugged on without ever being involved - finished 6th - placed 8th
Improved throughout 3yo season in 2025 and crowned US Horse of the Year; winner of Grade 1 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in May (beat Journalism by one and a half lengths) and three times at Saratoga afterwards, notably Grade 1 Belmont Stakes in June (beat Journalism by 3l) and Grade 1 Travers Stakes in August (most impressively by 10l); missed Breeders' Cup Classic with raised temperature; better suited by 1m2f than 1m1f; first start for eight months and must give weight all round on Oaklawn debut.

Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (3yo) (Main Track) (Dirt)
Bumped and stumbled soon after start - raced in final quartet - began to take closer order 3 1/2f out - about 4 lengths fourth and ridden over 2f out - sustained run to press front two under 1 1/2f out - led 1f out - stayed on well to assert final 110yds
Curlin Florida Derby presented by Hill 'n' Dale Farms at Xalapa (3yo) (Main Track) (Dirt)

Coolmore Fountain of Youth Stakes (3yo) (Main Track) (Dirt)
Raced in final pair on inner - slightly outpaced and 3 lengths adrift in rear 3 1/2f out - ridden 3f out - headway 2 1/2f out - ran on well final furlong - surged late and led at finish
Dwelt - soon adrift in rear - last and 6 lengths off pace 4f out - pushed along 2 1/2f out - closed on outer nearing 2f from home - came widest into straight - shaken up and strong run to lead 150yds out - soon clear - very comfortably
Progressive at lower level in 2025, winner of maiden and allowance race at Ellis Park and another allowance race here (1m) last December; unable to make an impact in two Grade 3s this year, on latest start beaten 6l when fifth to Skippylongstocking in Essex Handicap here; needs to spring a massive surprise.

Oaklawn Handicap (Dirt)
In touch with leaders - dropped to last after 3f - weakened over 2f out
Won three Grade 1s in 2025, including Preakness Stakes at Pimlico (1m1.5f) in May and Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park (1m1f) in July; good efforts when in frame in similar events afterwards, on final start just under 4l fourth in Breeders' Cup Classic at Del Mar; second over 1m2f to Sovereignty in Kentucky Derby (beaten just over 1l) and Belmont Stakes (beaten 3l) but now 4lb better off and reverts to best trip; sound claims to reverse that form on Oaklawn debut.
Held up in last - briefly 5 lengths adrift of main group - soon took closer order but remained in rear - improved 3f out - shaken up and went second 2f out - driven and kept on well from over 1f out - no match for winner
Dwelt slightly - settled in final trio - began to close on outer with 3 1/2f to run - shaken up to be 1 length third with 2f to run - soon ridden and slightly outpaced by leaders - strong run final furlong - led close home
Belmont Stakes presented by NYRA Bets (3yo) (Main Track) (Dirt)
Prominent on outer - disputed third after 2 1/2f - shaken up and quickened to lead 2f out - soon hard ridden - headed entering final furlong - stayed on but no match for winner
Disputed lead - soon headed - raced in midfield on inside - sixth and niggled along halfway - disputed third 2f out - angled out and ridden between horses when bumped and hampered 1 1/2f out - chased 4 length leader 1f out - stayed on to lead close home
Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (3yo) (Main Track) (Dirt)
Bumped start - raced in midfield - angled out and tenth halfway - closed from 3f out - about 3 lengths third and ridden over 2f out - sustained run to lead inside final 1 1/2f - edged right and headed 1f out - no extra final 100yds
Disputed lead from stalls - chased leading pair under a tight hold after 1f - last but well in touch before halfway - outpaced and pushed along over 2 1/2f out - stayed on to chase leading pair 1 1/2f out - strong run to lead final 125yds - readily
Still a maiden after his first 12 starts (beaten over 30l by Sovereignty in 2025 Kentucky Derby) but seems improved as 4yo; winner of all three starts over 8.5f here in 2026, namely maiden, allowance and black-type stakes, the latter won by just over 1l, staying on strongly; needs to improve markedly to trouble these, but at least he's going the right way and should be suited by 1m1f.
