White Abarrio
High-class form at best, winning four Grade 1s including 2023 Breeders' Cup Classic at Santa Anita and 2025 Pegasus World Cup (1m1f) at Gulfstream Park; not quite so good last four starts, though shaped as if in need of race (clear 1f out, tired) when second to stablemate Skippylongstocking in 2026 Pegasus World Cup in January; can race up with the pace; Oaklawn debut.

Liberal Arts
Very useful form at slightly shorter than this 1m1f (has won five times, notably one Grade 3) but nothing to suggest he can run with this class of rival; best form when chasing good pace; sold $120,000 since latest start.

Sovereignty
Improved throughout 3yo season in 2025 and crowned US Horse of the Year; winner of Grade 1 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in May (beat Journalism by one and a half lengths) and three times at Saratoga afterwards, notably Grade 1 Belmont Stakes in June (beat Journalism by 3l) and Grade 1 Travers Stakes in August (most impressively by 10l); missed Breeders' Cup Classic with raised temperature; better suited by 1m2f than 1m1f; first start for eight months and must give weight all round on Oaklawn debut.

Duke Of Duval
Progressive at lower level in 2025, winner of maiden and allowance race at Ellis Park and another allowance race here (1m) last December; unable to make an impact in two Grade 3s this year, on latest start beaten 6l when fifth to Skippylongstocking in Essex Handicap here; needs to spring a massive surprise.

Journalism
Won three Grade 1s in 2025, including Preakness Stakes at Pimlico (1m1.5f) in May and Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park (1m1f) in July; good efforts when in frame in similar events afterwards, on final start just under 4l fourth in Breeders' Cup Classic at Del Mar; second over 1m2f to Sovereignty in Kentucky Derby (beaten just over 1l) and Belmont Stakes (beaten 3l) but now 4lb better off and reverts to best trip; sound claims to reverse that form on Oaklawn debut.

Publisher
Still a maiden after his first 12 starts (beaten over 30l by Sovereignty in 2025 Kentucky Derby) but seems improved as 4yo; winner of all three starts over 8.5f here in 2026, namely maiden, allowance and black-type stakes, the latter won by just over 1l, staying on strongly; needs to improve markedly to trouble these, but at least he's going the right way and should be suited by 1m1f.
