Went close off this mark over C&D in November; good run at Kempton on his penultimate start and he will find this more manageable than the hot Kempton handicap he contested on Friday; respected.

Blew hot and cold for Jack Channon and signs that it may be the same for new connections, shaping well at Wolverhampton in February but turning in lesser efforts twice since; well handicapped if this is one of his good days and the return of cheekpieces (first time for Ruth Carr) looks a plus.

Ended 2025 with a whimper but he has slipped back down the weights as a consequence; won on last year's reappearance and also ran a fine race after a 175-day layoff in 2024 so unlikely to be lacking in fitness; one to consider.

Just 1lb higher than for his 5f win at Newcastle on New Year's Day; three runs since have not been quite so encouraging though and he may prove vulnerable back up at 6f.

Won twice for Michael Bell last April with the second success coming off a 15lb higher mark than today's; struggled for new yard this winter but there were more encouraging signs at Newcastle three weeks ago where he was making up some ground before running into repeated traffic issues; appeals as the type to come good soon but perhaps on turf and in a lower grade.

Failed to win in six starts for the Gosdens, including three 7f handicaps last autumn; sold for 16,000gns in October; new trainer drops him back in trip but Cajetan may be her main hope.

1m win in January and back to his recent best when a close third at Lingfield last week; runs off the same mark today but he would be more appealing over an extra furlong.

In good form for much of the winter, winning three 5f handicaps, but his form has cooled on his last two starts; others look stronger in this grade.
