Won at Worcester (2m, good) in August 2024 on final run for Dan Skelton; he's struggled to get competitive this year, following a long absence, but the return to better ground and reapplication of cheekpieces (in which he won at Worcester) could both be positives; he might not be a forlorn hope.

Won over fences in 2024 and ran okay on his two hurdle starts this season; however, he has a patchy record in chases and was pulled up when reverting to this sphere here in February (reportedly made a respiratory noise).

Tailed off in a novice hurdle here in November when back from an absence and this is his first run since; however, he showed some ability in novice hurdles in November 2024 and this point winner could improve for the switch to fences; interesting contender on handicap debut.

Won two in a row over hurdles in October (2m5f/2m4f, good; including here) and ran pretty well when third at Newcastle (2m4f, good to soft) in November; unsuited by soft ground when below par at Musselburgh in December; could have a part to play if taking to fences at the first attempt.

Inconsistent 10yo who was pulled up at Newcastle 19 days ago; however, he won here (2m4f, good) last April on the back of being pulled up twice in a row, so it will be no surprise to see him bounce back with a big run.

Running well in defeat over hurdles at Perth last June-September (good/soft) prior to winning on his chase debut there (3m, soft) in October; absent since but he's unexposed over fences and could have more to offer.

Capitalised on a career-low mark to win at Ayr (3m, soft) four weeks ago; he's also effective on good to soft ground and a 4lb rise won't necessarily beat him, but he's inconsistent and has a good record at Ayr, so it's questionable whether he'll produce another good performance today.

One to watch in the betting in first-time tongue-tie/cheekpieces on this second start for the stable but there was no return to form from this ex-Irish mare at Sedgefield a fortnight ago, when tailed off.

A case can be made on form as recent as November but she failed to shine on her two starts in February and needs to raise her game.
