🏇 October Performance Review – DC Racing Network

October was another key checkpoint in what’s been a strong and consistent 2025 for the DC Racing Network.

While results varied across price bands and days, we closed the month in front at Betfair SP, but behind to Advised Prices. However, the BSP once again proving our edge over the market and reinforcing the long-term consistency of the strategy.

💡 Key takeaway: October still produced a positive BSP return, showing that selections continue to hold market value — even during transition periods.

Day-of-Week Breakdown October

✅ The midweek rhythm remains our sweet spot — Tuesday and Friday have been the strongest ROI days not only in October, but right across 2025.

📊 Year-to-date ROI sits at +22% (advised) and +14% (BSP) — clear proof that October’s slight dip was the exception, not the rule.

Saturday’s through the National Hunt Season have returned a ROI of 84% – Saturday’s throught he Flat season highlighted here in October were much lower.

Price Range Performance

📈 The data tells the story:

• Shorter-priced runners continue to provide the bedrock of consistency, but too many in October effected our overall result.

• Mid-range (6–9) dipped in October but remains profitable across the year.

• Bigger prices (16-99) often outperform late — another clear signal that our selections beat the market pre-off.

🧩 Context & Seasonality

It’s worth noting that ONLY TWO MONTHS have shown a small loss this year — April and October.

Both are transition months where the racing codes switch (Flat ↔ Jumps).
This shift naturally brings changes in form, fitness, and conditions — and some adjustment time is expected.

In other words: these months are the seasonal reset points, and the fact that every other month has returned a profit is a huge marker of system strength and stability.
