Late Market Moves By Course

Late Market Moves by Course
Tracking where last-minute money travels — and where it burns

How to Read This Table

This table analyses how horses that only attracted support very late in the market have performed at each course. It shows whether chasing last-minute gambles at a track has historically been profitable or costly.

A “late move” is defined as a horse whose price shortened close to the off, having shown no value earlier in the day. These are the bets most punters instinctively chase.

  • Runs – Number of qualifying late movers.
  • Profit – Points profit/loss to £1 level stakes.
  • ROI – Return on investment.

Green rows indicate courses where late support has worked. Red rows highlight tracks where chasing late money has consistently lost.

Why This Matters

Most punters lose money through poor timing rather than poor analysis. They react to late market moves without understanding whether those moves have any edge.

Market Lab replaces instinct with evidence. It shows where the market deserves respect — and where it should be ignored.

  • Avoid chasing false gambles
  • Improve price discipline
  • Reduce emotional betting
  • Focus on repeatable edges
