3/1 chance can strike at Windsor AGAIN!

One selection for members on Monday! A striking bet down in grade and excellent value at 2/1 or bigger.

16:50 Windsor – Back Havana Pusey @ 3/1 2pt

The only race I want us to strike at today is this small field contest at Windsor. I want to be with Havana Pusey, who has plenty in her favour to recommend her at this time of year. She went very well in early spring last term, and she arrived following an eye-catching display at Leicester when beaten five lengths by the useful Completely Random, having been unfavoured by a steady gallop and continuously denied a clear passage.

Her effort before that at Newbury was very encouraging, as was her outstanding second reappearance to Dark Thirty at Doncaster. Today represents a drop in grade into Class 4 for the first time this term, and she can boast three good strong efforts at Windsor, including a victory.

She relishes fast ground and is handicapped to have a big say at this level. All looks in place for an effort that gets her back into the winners’ enclosure, and conditions couldn’t be more ideal under a rider who got an excellent tune out of her to finish a neck second to Tourist at this venue in August last year, where she had Many A Star behind.

She has been ridden positively in the past, so she should get a good tow into this from Asinara, who may find this ground quickly enough on the back of an encouraging seasonal debut at Haydock.

Treacherous is always worth respecting here, as is Many A Star, but the selection is handicapped to perform well under optimal conditions, and the faults are incredibly hard to find.

Take no less than 3/1.
